Designed by the German master golf course architect Dr. Bernhard von Limburger, Atalaya's Old Course opened in 1968. With its natural surroundings and parkland fairways, it is known today as one of Costa del Sol's most challenging and prestigious golf venues. During the height of his career, Dr. von Limburger designed 74 new courses and redesigned 10 others, mainly in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
