Aspiring amateur, lady golfer Valentina Albertazzi is the 2018 winner in the 4rd Edition of the Sotogrande International Young Talents Trophy. Valentina is sponsored by Atalaya Golf & Country Club. The event took place at the Almenara Golf Club from the 25th to the 28th of October.
The four-day event includes an opening ceremony, a practice round, and three days of fierce competition. Participants play 18 holes each day under the Stroke Play format. Valentina won this year’s challenge with scores of 77, 77, and 70, respectively, despite extremely harsh weather conditions.
The Sotogrande International Young Talents Trophy is patterned to provide players with an experience that has the feel of the European Tour. Competitors have the opportunity to score points for the R&A and United States Golf Association World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), where Valentina has been moving steadily up the list.
