A summer’s greeting from me to all of you at Atalaya Golf. There are probably many of you who think it’s too hot to play golf, but here at Ramside Hall Golf Club in Newcastle it is cold and windy, and the course is very challenging. I have just finished the tournament, shooting a second round 70 after a disappointing 78 on the opening day.
As for my season so far, I guess I’m not completely satisfied. What’s so strange is that I’ve never trained so much and never been so prepared, and you just don’t get it right in tournaments. However, I believe that all the work I have put in will be rewarded during the season.
Very often I get asked questions about my summer holidays, but I have none! What I do in the summer besides playing tournaments looks roughly like this:

Breakfast at 07.00
First training session at 08.00 – 12.00 (practise 9 holes on the course or gym)
Lunch 12.00 – 13.00
Rest 13.00 – 13.30
Second training session: 14.00 – 15.30 Close game – Putting
Dinner 15.30 – 16.30
Third training session: 16.30 – 18.30 (practise 9 holes on the course or gym)
Dinner 19.00 and then relax with series and sleep before 22.00

I do this six days a week, and, in addition, there is a lot of time spent with my coach, mental training, sponsors events and other assignments.

That’s all from me for now, see you soon.
