Atalaya Golf is updating its’ tee boxes on the Old Course from the traditional coloured markers of white, yellow, blue and red to a numbered system.

The reasoning behind this change is to make the game quicker and more enjoyable. The new tee system means that players are no longer categorised according to gender or age, but will be able to choose the marker which best reflects their golfing ability. Our caddy masters will be able to advise visitors which tee is most appropriate to their handicaps.

In summary, the new markers will be numbered 51, 54, 59 and 64, which roughly translates into the length of the course in metres (5055,5391,5872, and 6405) from the respective new tees.

This system is proving a great success at many golf clubs, and we are sure that our members and visitors will enjoy the benefits afforded by the change.

In addition, we will also be re-routing  the course, with the current 10th tee becoming the first hole.
