On Sunday, the 15th of March, the Spanish government declared a State of Alarm throughout Spain, ordering the closure of all non-essential facilities with the goal of combating the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). In full compliance with the government’s mandate, both golf courses and all facilities at Atalaya Golf & Country Club are currently closed.

Then, on Sunday, the 22nd of March, prime minister Pedro Sánchez requested that Congress approve an extension of this original 15-day closure for an additional 15-day period. Atalaya’s courses and facilities will now very likely remain closed until at least mid-April.

While the club is closed during the next weeks, a reduced maintenance crew will ensure that both of our championship golf courses are well maintained and updated.

Throughout this very difficult time, Atalaya will strictly follow all government and health authority directives and will keep you updated.

We would like to thank all members and clients for their collaboration and understanding during this exceptional situation. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the club via email at info@atalaya-golf.com.

Stay safe at home!
