The announcement was made by a Director of the Company Paul Wiget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Wiget, the new Honorary Members are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>\u201cIngelise Roed, Ladies Captain 1994-97 and again 2000-02<\/li><li>Pat Odell, long-time sponsor of the International Competition<\/li><li>Claes-Goran Kalborg, President 1997-98<\/li><li>Frank Beckmann, President 2009-11, board member and long-time Chairman of the Greens Committee\u201d<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And posthumously, two individuals who dedicated much time and effort to shape the future of Atalaya were elected:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>\u201cDr. Konrad Meyerhans, President 1994-97 and long-time board member<\/li><li>Claes-Goran Olofsson, President 2003-06 and long-time board member\u201d<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Wiget goes on to say that all of these people \u201chave made significant contributions to the success of Atalaya for many years, starting as far back as 1975.\u201d He notes that \u201cthe four honorary members have combined over 125 years affiliation with Atalaya and together they weigh in with 365 years total age.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The celebratory luncheon was held at the Ventanas de Atalaya restaurant and hosted by Wiget together with Atalaya General Manager Andr\u00e9s S\u00e1nchez Garcia and Atalaya President Richard Phillimore. \u201cMany old \u2018war stories\u2019 were exchanged and some amusing and unique experiences of the past were shared,\u201d states Wiget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thinking of 2022 Wiget remarked, \u201cClaes-Goran, who is a regular user of our gym, announced his plan to return to playing his beloved golf game again in 2022, when he will turn 95.
