Spain\u2019s Carlota Ciganda, who plays on both the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour, is the 2021 winner of the Andalucia Costa del Sol Open de Espa\u00f1a. The tournament was held at Costa del Sol\u2019s Los Naranjos Golf Club, November 25 \u2013 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ciganda entered the tournament\u2019s final round with a three-shot lead and never looked back. She carded a birdie on the second and an eagle on the fifth and two more birdies on the eighth and 18th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 15 under par she won the tournament hands down with a four shot lead over Second Place winner Maja Stark of Sweden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I\u2019m very happy,” Ciganda commented to Sky Sports. “It\u2019s a tournament that I really wanted to win. I love Spain and obviously to win your country\u2019s Open is really, really special.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ciganda went on to say, “I\u2019m very happy with the way I played and to shoot two bogey-free rounds this week is great golfing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thai professional Atthaya Thitikul, who is the Race to Costa del Sol champion and who is known as the youngest lady golfer (at the age of 14) to win a professional golf tournament as an amateur, placed Third.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
