If you thought you recently saw Sergio Scariolo, the world renown, Italian, professional basketball coach, enjoying a round or two on our Old Course, you are not mistaken. Sergio, who has been teeing off with longtime Atalaya member Cachi Siconolfi<\/a>, will be back for another challenging round later this week, on Thursday, the 19th<\/sup> of November. If you missed him before, maybe you will catch a glimpse of him then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sergio is the head coach of the Spain men\u2019s national basketball team and an assistant coach for Canada\u2019s Toronto Raptors, the National Basketball Association (NBA) 2019 champions. Taking a break from his coaching responsibilities, Sergio is currently spending some time relaxing and strategising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years Sergio has achieved many successes with the Spain men\u2019s national basketball team, including world champions in 2019, continental champions in 2009, 2011 and 2105, Olympic silver medal winners in London in 2012 and Olympic bronze medal winners in Rio in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his recent visit to our Club, General Manager Andr\u00e9s S\u00e1nchez Garc\u00eda extended a warm welcome to Sergio on behalf of management and all of the Atalaya family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
