One of the most popular of these competitions is the \u201cMonthly Medal\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One Saturday each month is dedicated to the playing of this event. The 18-hole, Individual Stableford, qualifying tournament is always played on the demanding Old Course and attracts a field of more than 60 golfers. \u201cMonthly Medallist\u201d honours are bestowed upon both the lady and gentlemen competitors with the highest number of Stableford points. The player with the best \u201cScratch\u201d score is also recognised.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Currently, Golfriend\u2019s is sponsoring the monthly event. Golfriend\u2019s is a full-service, golf shop located adjacent to the Caddy Master at Atalaya and in the Centro Comercial Mustang in Estepona. Golfriend\u2019s owner Antonio Valle is an active Atalaya member and supports many of Atalaya\u2019s activities throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Golfriend\u2019s sponsorship of the \u201cMonthly Medal\u201d tournament includes free entry into the competition for all members, monetary vouchers for the winning three players in each category, special awards for the \u201cnearest to the pin\u201d and \u201clongest putt\u201d and the prizes for a tombola that is open to all tournament participants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The \u201cMonthly Medal\u201d is just one of the many events that Atalaya Golf &#038; Country Club organises for its members.
