Atalaya Golf was pleased to welcome golfing legend Miguel Angel Jim\u00e9nez to play the Old Course at the end of March. Miguel Angel was joined in a friendly, but competitive four ball by his ubiquitous cigar, our President, Richard Phillimore, Greens Committee member, Louise Spruce and Committee member, Brian Martin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Atalaya members were impressed to watch every par 5 reduced to two shots to the green and marvelled at Miguel Angel\u00b4s ability to shape shots to suit the different demands of the Old Course\u00b4s layout. He made a charming golfing companion and was very complimentary about the condition of the course and its traditional design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the round he was more than happy to take selfies and sign autographs for visiting golfers who were delighted to see one of their favourite players in person, and afterwards he joined his playing partners for a relaxing drink on our clubhouse terrace. We look forward to seeing him again in the very near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
