This past Saturday, February 15th, Atalaya Golf & Country Club hosted the much-anticipated President’s Cup on the Old Course, delivering an unforgettable day of golf, friendships, and celebration.
Under perfect conditions, participants competed with great enthusiasm, showcasing their skill and determination. The competition was fierce, and the results reflected outstanding performances:
- President’s Cup Champion: Kurt Simonsen – 41 points
- Best Gross Score: Gerd Zimmermann – 74 strokes
In the Ladies’ Category:
- 1st Place: Eija Rintala Murtoaro – 37 points
- 2nd Place: Kajsa Schmidt – 37 points
- 3rd Place: Josephine Donelly – 37 points
In the Men’s Category:
- 1st Place: Pekka Ordriozola – 41 points
- 2nd Place: Gerd Zimmermann – 38 points
- 3rd Place: Paul Gyllstrom – 37 points
A special moment of the day was a fantastic hole-in-one on Hole 3, achieved by Nina Phillimore—a remarkable feat that added to the excitement of the event.
After an exhilarating day on the course, participants gathered for an exquisite gala dinner, featuring a spectacular tango performance that enchanted the audience. The atmosphere was filled with joy, laughter, and a strong sense of sportsmanship, making it an event to be cherished by all.
