Last Saturday March 29th, the Northern Light Tournament took place, an event proudly organized by our Swedish, Finnish, and Norwegian members. Designed to bring together the entire club community, this friendly yet competitive tournament was a success.
With over 90 players taking to the course, the day was filled with teamwork, sportsmanship, and impressive golfing performances. The competition was fierce, but in the end, Bengt Andersson emerged as the overall champion, securing victory with a remarkable net score of 67.
Following the exhilarating round of golf, participants and guests gathered for a delightful Scandinavian-style lunch. More than 80 attendees enjoyed a traditional spread featuring authentic smörrebröd (Scandinavian open-faced sandwiches) paired with snaps (aquavit), creating the perfect atmosphere for celebration and socializing.
The Northern Light Tournament was not just a display of great golf, but also a testament to the strong sense of community that defines Atalaya Golf & Country Club. We look forward to having this event again next year!
