Golf News celebrates his 20th Anniversary at Atalaya Golf

The golfing year was brought to a close with a full house of over 100 players at the fabulous Atalaya Golf Old Course, played in perfect golfing conditions.

The Pairs Better Ball event brought together golfers of all nationalities, and it was a chance to meet and greet some old faces who have supported the Golf News over the years. The 9.00am shotgun start went off without a hitch, although the fact that the front nine was now the back nine took some explaining to a few of the usual suspects.

Some great prizes were on offer at all the Par 3's, and there was also an award for nearest the pin on the 9th hole (formerly 18th!!!). The course as usual was in great condition, and the players were very impressed, particularly with the greens.

A great day of golf was followed by a prize - giving including tapas and drinks at the recently renovated terrace of the club, and there were some fabulous prizes in the raffle including green fees, accommodation, and golfing equipment.

A big thanks to all the players who played on the day, our numerous sponsors, and especially to Andrés and all the staff at Atalaya Golf for all their hard work in making the day such a success.
