At Atalaya Golf & Country Club, we are excited to share the installation of 72 new bird nests throughout our courses, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to protecting and enhancing local biodiversity. This initiative, along with the previously installed bat houses, is another step towards a more sustainable and balanced ecosystem within our club.
A Haven for Local Birdlife
Birds play a crucial role in maintaining a healthy environment. They contribute to natural pest control, help with pollination, and aid in seed dispersion. By providing safe nesting spaces, we are supporting the reproduction and survival of various bird species that naturally inhabit our surroundings.
Enhancing the Golfing Experience
A thriving bird population not only benefits the environment but also enriches the golfing experience. The sight and sounds of birds add to the serene and breathtaking views of our club, making every round of golf even more enjoyable.
Continued Commitment to Nature
In addition to the bird nests, we continue to support our nocturnal allies with our bat houses. Bats play a vital role in insect control, including managing the population of mosquitoes and processionary moths, whose caterpillars can be harmful to both pine trees and pets.
At Atalaya Golf & Country Club, we believe that nature and golf coexist in harmony. Our dedication to sustainability ensures that members and visitors enjoy a beautiful, well-preserved natural environment.
Come and experience the beauty of Atalaya Golf while being surrounded by nature’s wonders!
